Hello again I'm still very new to this site. Anyway my husband's I -601 waiver was tuned in back in December, along with all of the supporting documentation. Anyhow I have been in contact with two of my states congressmans's caseworkers one of them called today and said Juarez emailed him and said they didn't have a HSL on file for my husband. How does that happen?????? Of course I kept triple copies of everything I have the original, and was not aware of this site before I wrote my HSL. I just used what the Lord helped me put into words and onto my paper. I have read some of the approved letters but have not really studied how to format my information. I was wondering if I should hurry and forward the existing original HSL, or should I write a better HSL using whatever resources I can gather to write a more convincing and powerful one? I will now put my original HSL for review if anyone can give me feedback I would greatly appreciate it, thanks and God Bless.
Dear Sir or Madam:
My name is xxxx. I am writing this letter in regards to my husband xxx xxx xxx. I would like to ask for your forgiveness and mercy for my husband's entry into the United States without proper documentaion. In reference to our I-601 waiver, I would like to present to you my personal extreme hardship and suffering without my husband at my side. HIs absence since late August 2007 has greatly impacted my physical, mental, and financial well being. I am not suffering alone, as our 2 year-old daughter, xxxx, also suffers and has been affected in many ways.
I am currently 5 months pregnant with our second child due in March. Due to my first pregnancy, my OB doctor has scheduled a caesarean surgery for our unborn child, to avoid and risks to our baby. I will be off of work for several months, and at home recuperating from surgery with two children to care for on my own. I feel anxious, depressed, and heavy pressure reflecting on what my life will be in the near future without the love, help, and support of my husband. I know these anxiety and stress issues are not good for my health or that of our unborn child. my OB doctor, Dr. xxx xxx, has included a leter stating my current condition and plan of action for the birth of our child.
I am currently seeking psychiatric counseling at my place of employment, and also counseling for our daughter at a different facility for mental helath, to help us cope and deal with our crisis and separation from xxxx. I have attaced documentation from both facilities at the end of the letter for review.
Our daughter has endured tremendous changes within the last 3 months including leaving her father behind in Mexico, moving out of our house, and re-establishing ourselves in the home of my parents. I immediately noticed anxiety, regression inher development, and behavioral changes as well. I quickly sought help to intervene with our daughter's setbacks. The specialists involved with the therapy and intervention have included letters stating their professional opinions on xxxx delay.
I have also included a copy of our lease that I was no longer able to sustain on my own, which is why we moved into my parent's home. Our current living condition is crowded, and xxxx and I room in an extra living room on a couch. When our new baby is born I don't know how I will be able to accommodate his needs in such crowded living quarters. I have student loans that need attention, as well a spaying a rent and food fee to help my parents support us. I was denied in the county we live in for public assistance, but because of my pregnancy, I was able to qualify for helath insurance only for myself. XXXX is currently uninsured and I will not be able to provide health insurance for her until after January 2008, through my place of employment, if I can afford it. Bills, Government issued student loans, health insurance information from work, and a notarized document describing what I pay for food and rent are attached following our letter.
If I were able to relocate and reunite my family, I would without hesitation. However, my child needs to be in the United States, in a safe environment where health care is readily available and better if she were to get sick. I also need to stay in the United States to work. I have a contract with Memorial Hospital that requires I complete 2 years of full time employment with them in exchange for the sign on incentive I recieved after earning my Registered Nursing LIcense in March 2007. A copy of the contract, my Registered Nursing License, a medical/surgical nurse's job description, and a letter from my employer are included at the end of our letter.
Due to my income, I had stated earlier I was unable to qualify for public assistance, and the aid for chilcare was included in that denial. I have enclosed information on what childcare rates would cost me if XXX and our baby were to attend. I also work night shift 6:30pm-7:00am. , and unfortunately our county does not have overnight childcare. Currently, XXX sleeps with my parents at night and I take care of her when I get home from my shift in the morning. This is also negative for my health and my unborn child, as I deprive my body of rest.
In closure, I would like to again ask for mercy and forgiveness for my husband, XXXX. The future of our helath and well-being depend on him greatly, and we are asking for a chance to make decisions correctly, and positively contribute to our American society. I cannot express enough how the separation has negatively impacted our health and well being. Please help reunite my family. I thank you in advance for your time.
Sincerely,
XXXX XXXX
