:thumbup: I got the official letter in the mail last night. Now I think I can stop pinching myself!
It's been an absolutely traumatic 3 months for me and my personal life, but now something good has happened :yay2:
It's bittersweet though as I can't help thinking "if only" - if only I had been approved a few weeks ago I could have seen mum one last time. But I get to go home for Christmas!

So last night I was pottering around my apartment before going to see Phantom of the Opera, and said to myself "workboresme, you haven't checked the mail in 3 days".

Off I toddle down to the mailbox and lo! There's a brown envelope from DHS. "Cor", thinks I, "I know what this is" so off I go to the pub to open it in front of my friends.
Among many shouts of "it's not green!" and "Hey, you can learn to speak English now" (I AM English), I proudly showed off my new green card!

It means you're filing within the USA and not in your home country (or other country).
