Hello all, I am very thankful that I have found this site. I have never, ever known anything about any immigration law. I was so ignorant I guess, if I knew I guess I would have done things different or at least would have some insight on what was to come. Here's my story: Finace EWI'd 1990, as a minor bec of abandonment and abuse from parents (he was basically a homeless child) with the only aunt in California USA - Deported 2000 or so, not sure if vol/unvol - EWI'd right back 2000 - Met fiance 2005 - Had child 2007 and another on the way - Deported 2008 this year again, he told me over the phone they gave him a lifetime ban. He doesn't have anywhere to go there w/ no family at all. I don't know what we're going to do. According to what I've read here he does have the automatic 10-year ban. I'm wondering if we have to do the paperwork to start the clock or when he was deported to MX and dropped off at the border did it start? How would we verify that in 10 years or would they know or do we go thru the process at CDJ so they have some kind of verification? Humm, confused here. He didn't know about all these laws as well. Does his first EWI count, since he was a minor? He wants to come back to his only family he knows (Us). I wonder if he automatically starts his 10 year ban and EWI's again and doesn't get involved with US to disrupt it's process and just lives with us so he's just like not counted or take anything from the gov't. if he waits the 10 years out and then go back and we could try for a waiver? I also was thinking about CDJ and life there, I'm not afraid to live in MX but just wondering how does one get a casa and trabajo there? Please let me know how the move was for you into MX as he doesn't have familia there. Thanks for hearing me out. Lonely bakingmama here.

I'm so sorry for what you are going through, bakingmama. :( I can't even imagine how hard that must be on you and your family. From what I understand, the clock started ticking on the ten-year ban as soon as he left U.S. soil. I wouldn't recommend him EWIing a third time, though. That will not look good to the gov't if he ever wants to live here legally. Have you considered living in another country so you can be together?

This post seems familiar, I dont think he would be able to get a waiver due to being deported 2wice, "and why?" If they say lifetime ban they mean it. Sorry, but if you want to be with him, you should move to Mexico when baby is born, i have heard there are alot of americanized towns the tourist spots.
Sorry
