ok where do i start?

i have a lot of questions ill just start with this:

im about to get married next weekend. she has a pending petition from her father. he died in january 07. other than that she has nothing else. is she going to get deported when we start trying to get everything in order?

oh one more does anyone know what laws are on the books for congress to vote on regarding illegal immigrants? i heard on the radio today there are like 15 things in congress right now. but the radio only station only mentioned the one about drunk driving.

When was the petition from her father filed? Was it approved and how did she enter the US? Also are you a USC or a LPR (US citizen or resident)?

the petition was filed in 1996 it has been pending since then. but im not tottaly sure of the details. she did get picked up by the border patrol on a greyhound bus last october. they let her go after her mom came with her petition papers. (kinda long story) the supervisor said she was still illegal and that we should get married.

im am a US citizen.
