We arrived at the office and after going through security, went to the window, and the officer took our appt. letter.
He immediately came out and escorted me (yeah, me first) to his office. He was very stern looking, but nice. I was sworn in, and before I could sit down , he started with the questions.....
How long have you been married?
In what state did you marry?
Do you work?
Did you file 2007 taxes?
How many are in your household?
Do you have proof of income?
Are you related to sponsor?
Have you been married before?
Has your huband been married before?
Has your husband been arrested? What for?
Does your husband have a license? (he was arrested for no license)
Did your husband get his immunizations?
Do you have kids? How many?
What are the ages of your children?
Hav you been on a trip lately? Where?
What does your husband do for a living?
Who does he work for?
Does he work locally?
Did your husband get his immunizations?
What is your address?
How long have you lived there?
Between every single question he would write down my answer, and flip through my husbands file repeatedly. Very intimidating.
He then follwed me out to the lobby, where he took my husband into his office next. He was also sworn in
He asked my husband a few of the same questions along with...
Have you ever been deported?
Are you are terrorist?
He also tried to slip him up by saying, Do you live at our address along with a very wrong zip. My husband almost said yes, but caught in time and corrected him.
He then told him he was aproved, he was going to order his card, and it would be here in 2 weeks. He handed him a sheet of paper, and we were DONE!!!!
That's about all I could get out of him. He said he doesn't remember anything else, but of course he was nervous. They definately kept me longer. All in all, pretty painless.
The only things I was asked for was:
Proof of income
Birth certificates for our children
I-693 supplement A (immunizations)
Arrest record
drivers license
Thanks to everyone, and I hope this helps. Lynn
