nvc is sooo annoying

well i received our rfe today and i am so aggravated!

1. nvc said that there is a gap in my hubby's residence history there is not! The only thing i can see that maybe we need to correct is on # 20 youknow how it says from/to, for our present residence, we put from 7/2007 and then did not put a to date I thought since we still resided here, we did not need to put anything and i had tried to put to present time but it would not except that it wanted numbers.

2. nvc said that we needed to send in police certificates for all localities more than six months since reaching the age of 16. Well, mexico does not issue police certificates and also in the directions on the nvc website, it said that all former and present residents of the united states do not need to submit police certificates what the heck? We sent ALL certified copies of traffic violations dispositions etc. and also certified disposition of hubby's one arrest for failure to appear for traffic violation. What more do they want this is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrating does anybody know what the heck is going on am i not seeing something that i need to do somebody please help

Sorry...this process is so frustrating. I think someone mentioned recently that there is a special extension you can call about RFE...maybe they can help you figure out what to send in. Anyone have more info on that?

when i filled out the DS-230 in those situations, I left it blank then printed in the word "present"

I heard from other members that when it asks about your present residence, they want you to actually put the word "present" instead of a date. Most people got a RFE for putting a date.

that's the thing djones, i was not able to write anything in that area they wanted numbers

hey sweetlove,
you have to print it out blank and hand write "present" on it.
otherwise it wont let you. I made a mistake on number 20 too, just fix that "present" thing and dont worry about the mexico police certificates, you dont need it. luck
