Has it always been this way?

I keep reading about these backloged cases, how long has it been like that? Is it expected to get worse? I have not filed any type of paper yet. I heard it will take a year or more to even get the appt in cdj. I wonder if it will be this backloged then. Also what is filed after the I-130 and the I-129f? I am sooo confused.

It used to be much shorter i.e. 4-6 months. But with the pilot program things have gotten better since it's possible to get approved the same day. Also I believe waiting time for appointments have gotten much shorter recently. Byt the time you get to your appointment, the backlog may be much shorter -- that is definitely their goal anyway.

KitKat, from your lips to God's ears. I was starting to lose faith in the Pilot Program but I know your words of encouragement are well-versed. I would just like an answer before year's end so that I can go on with my life one way or another. But I guess we all would. Thanks
