Currently working on getting interview ifr AOS in Lima, Peru and we plan on having the I-601 waiver and HSL in hand when hubby goes in for the interview. We know that Lima does not have a Pilot Program like CDJ, but does anyone know if he will be allowed to file the waiver right after the denial of visa? Does anyone have any info on this? time frames etc.?

Hello Amballesteros!!!
If you check on the Peru club you will find out some time lines.
Answering your question: In my case, I was not able to submitt my waivers right after the denial of my visa. They scheduled me for fingerprint one week after and then wait for the result to submitt my waivers. It took around a month to get the fingerprint results. After turning the waivers is taking around 6-8 months to hear from the embassy.
God bless you

What is the deal with the fingerprints and the police record checks? He has already had the biometrics, fingerprints, and medical examination hre in the US in 2005. Are those exams not good anymore? Does hge need to get all that done again in Peru? this is all so confusing. Please help.

Yes, it you are applying for a visa in Lima, Peru, you will need to have all of that done again in Peru. Is he currently waiting for a visa interview appointment at the consulate in Lima?

Yes we are waiting for an appointment in Peru. How long does it normally take to get an interview after the 1-824 is submitted?
