How about a SPECIFIC section of the board where peeps can ( if they want to ) post their HSL's for input by other members? This would;
a ) keep all the pending HSL's in one place = easier to locate
b ) allow other members to more easily see requests for help and input
c ) enable members to address specific HSL's in terms of help and input

clearly the section would have to ONLY deal with pending / re-submissions but it would be a GREAT help to all the members

what do you think?

I like the idea quite a bit. We've played with that idea before and I guess it's somewhere on our to-do list but I think we should make it more of a priority.

Thanks for the input.

This is a good idea. It could probably just be a sub-forum in the I-601 Mexico and I-601 All other countries forum, one for each, the way the Laurel Scott Chat Logs and Timelines sections are sub-forums...

Good idea! This will make the HSL's that are works in progress easier to locate.

It would be great to have approved hsl's along with ones that were not approved as well, with dates submitted to cdj, to see if there has been a difference in the way they are deciding or just a bad week. This could be too much???

Great news! It would definately be nice to see the backlogged HSL vs. an approved HSL..

Okay, the new sub-forum is up. It's in the I-601 Mexico section, but is for any HSLs to be reviewed.

My personal opinion on trying to compare each letter that is backlogged with those approved in a week is that it is going to drive everyone crazy. The evidence is ultimately what gets a waiver approved, so while it's useful to look at the letters, two letters could look similar and one could have tons of really strong evidence and another could have nothing. Do you see what I am saying? Besides that we don't always know what the immigrant's history looks like. Two people might have similar hardships, but one has a criminal history and the other not... Just my two cents.
