My husband finally had his interview in London yesterday - which went very well and we are mailing in our waiver today. They requested a hardship letter from him...which I thought was strange but we completed it last night and will overnight the packet today. It's taken us 19 mths to get to this point and we hope it will go quickly. They said 14-16 weeks but .....

I've been through the same, My wavier was sent in October, got a postcard from the embassy Nov. 2nd, 2007 saying it will take 12-15 weeks, still under pending. Takes a lifetime i guess.

It does seem to take forever...it took over 10 mths just to receive notification that our I130 was approved...but at least now we are in the final stage. good luck to you ... hope you hear something soon.

Good luck Irishmo. They tell you 12-15 weeks, that's what my fiance's DHS postcard said. His case was received by them 20 September, went into Under review on Dec 17 and has been there since along with about 6 other cases. So we are at 23 weeks now which is a bit longer than they tell you, to say the least. I am just wondering if he is having to go through yet another security check - who knows. If we have heard nothing by Monday I'm going to try and email them and after that I guess get Senator or Congressional help.
However, yours may well go through quicker I've seen some that sailed through in under the 12/15 week timeframe. Hang in there, believe me I know it's not easy especially when you are apart.

Waiver approved a few weeks ago yipeee BUT still in name check nghtmare I think we're at name check number 5 now - it's a joke. Still I would say to those waiting a long time past 12-15 weeks for their waiver decision - take hope - I believe the delay is guess what a name check! But think about it - they are unlikely to go through to that stage unless they are leaning towards an approval on the waiver. Hopefully fiance in the US by May this year - fingers crossed.

Good luck to the rest of you.

Thanks. The waiver process took about 24 weeks but I believe a lot of that was name check delays. It does seem to have slowed down the last few months for everyone though. Best of luck to you - hope for good news.

Wow, this site is wicked! What is this name check thingi? do we all go through that process? And how do u know the delay was coz of the name check?

By the calculation of it, i must be hearing from them anytime now! My senator has been in touch wid the embassy here in London several times. Hoping for some luck and at least this year i wana be in NY for Flag Day! Thanks a lot!
