I'm Laura and I stumbled on I2US just about one year ago. This website saved me from several potentially serious interview disasters.

My husband Fermin came to the U.S. in 1998; we met in 2002 after I graduated from the University of Wisconsin and we started working together. We dated from 2003 to 2004 and married on May 24th, 2004. We filed our I-130 in January 2005 and had our consular interview in Ciudad Juarez on August 23, 2006, just after I found I2US. This site and several members helped me put together an eventually approved hardship letter.

Compared to many of my comadres, I was approved quite early, to my continued amazement, on May 4th, 2007. My husband and I met to go to his visa pick-up in Ciudad Juarez on July 11, 2007. Everything went smoothly and we re-entered the U.S. of A that afternoon.

I blog at laurafern.wordpress.com and will continue writing and advocating for immigration reform in the future. As long as I continue with my current job and lots of downtime for the internet, I will remain active on I2US. It's good karma.

I'm Heidi and I've been here for about five months... can't quite remember. I'm married to Hector from Atlacahualoya, Morelos. Hector and I met in August 2003, were married in May 2004, and had our first baby March 2005. We filed the I-130 in June of 2004 and he had his first interview in Ciudad Juarez June 6, 2006. I used a lawyer for the whole process, and our waiver was approved May 10, 2007! Hector had his visa pick up on July 19, 2007, everything was wonderful and he was back in my arms on July 20th! We're expecting our second baby any minute. I live in Minneapolis and would recommend our attorney to anyone who'd like, he was great.

I think that this place is amazing, such a great resource for anyone going through this. I didn't find it until we were almost done though. Good luck to all still going through the process and welcome to anyone who is just joining!

Hi I'm Crystal and I found this website just about 1 month ago. I was searching for information regarding the I-601 waiver and just sort of stumbled onto it. I am extremely glad I did.

I met my husband, Jorge, in March 2001. We began dating and married in March 2002. We had our first child together in July 2002. We filed our I-130 in August 2002, had our second child in January 2004 and were denied our I-130 for abandonment in approximately August of that year. We refiled in April 2005 and were approved. We had our first interview in CDJ January 9, 2007 and filed our I-601 Waiver January 18, 2007. We are currently trying to be patient while waiting for an approval.

This website is wonderful and helped me to realize I might need to submit a new HSL. I did that in July. Thanks to everyone for all the advice and friendship I have found here.

Hi laurafern11 and hectorswife, people like you are what keeps me coming back. Even though your finished with this process, you stay around to help other people. Man, if the world was like imm2us think of how much better this place would be.

I found this site back in 2004 before I married my husband. Because of this site, I was able to do everything myself and didn't have to use a lawyer.
Lucky for us, my husband enter on a B-1 visa and never left the country after it expired. So all we had to do was get married and AOS.
Currently, we are filing for the conditions removal. Next year, we will file for his citizenship.

Hi and welcome everyone!
I'm Melissa and I met my hubby Moises in Aug 2003 and started dating in Sept 2003. We got married in March 2006. We currently don't have any children but do plan on having some in the future. Right now we're just taking it slow and enjoying our time together. We barely sent the I-130 and are waiting for the approval. I am so grateful that I found I2US about 2 1/2 yrs ago. All the members are so wonderful and helpful. Thanks guys!
