anyone made towels before?

I was about to go out and buy brand new towels from JC pennies, but then I thought I bought this wonderful sewing/embroidery machine a couple months ago, and have hardly used it. Anyone ever make towels before? Whats the best fabric to use? I'm thinking about doing some embroidery on them.

I haven't seen any material that allows you to make towels, but I have seen a few with the pretty embroidery on it though.

I've never made towels before, but I do know that they have to have towel material somewhere... I've seen patterns before for those towel dresses and what not. Have you tried going to any fabric stores yet to see what they have?

If your main goal is embroidering, maybe you could just buy some towels and do it that way... it'd save you a whole lot of trouble! :)

I haven't had time to go to the fabric store, but i'm planning to go this week.

You could use terry cloth for towels. I am not aware of the price or if you have to special order this from the fabric store. Try to google it.

I have made christmas stockings out of christmas towels! :)
