We're back!

As you have noticed, we have had major problems with the site this last few weeks.

The database was lost. It's not a total loss as I do have a backup. It's corrupted but I have the posts. We won't be able to restore all the posts but I am gathering all the hardship letter examples from that database now. It's going to take me a few days to get things posted and the stickies back.

It's going to take a few days to get all the subforums back.

If anyone could give me a list of the stickies I need to try to find that would be great. The title won't help but if you can remember something that was in the posts, pm me.

This also means that everyone has to reregister.

We are sorry for the inconvenience and we hope that we can start a fresh and there will be no more problems.

But the orginal address is not coming up meaning I had it on my favorites and I clicked on it and it came up no page found so there might be people out there that are using the old address still and might not find their way back :( I typed it in and it came up!!! :)

Will you be able to restore any of the old messages en masse? or are they gone? There was quite a bit of historical resouces there, quite a shame if it is all lost.

it's gone. What I am going to try to recover is the info we had about hsl and all that.
It's just going to take a lot of time because the database was huge and it's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I do have all the posts, that part wasn't corrupt but the users and titles were.

First of all - Thank you for all of your hard work in getting the site back up and running. I am sure I am not alone in thinking that it is an invaluable resouce to all of us experiencing this immigration 'journey'.

Secondly - I love the look and feel of it and am glad to be back. I will miss all of the 'older' information that was here - but now is the time for us to start a 'new history' and just keep continuing to help one another!!!

Wow, the site looks really different. It's going to take some getting used to. It reminds me of back when it first started. It sure does feel wierd to be a "junior member" again after 3 years or so of posting on here. I have to admit I missed the site a little. I kind of thought it had kicked the bucket........ :-)
